Peach Cobbler

Nothing says summertime like a fresh fruit cobbler. It brings back memories of the cobblers and pies cooling on racks in my grandmother’s kitchen.
Grease an 8-9 inch square baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Stir in 1/2 cup milk and then 3 cups peeled, sliced fresh or frozen peaches till just combined
In a saucepan, combine:
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 Tbl butter
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Bring to a boil until sugars are dissolved. Pour over peach mixture
Bake at 400 degrees for 40-50 minutes until bubbly and toothpick in dough comes out clean.
